Meet Kristen Foley, DMD
Dentist in Richmond KY

Dr. Foley was raised in Lexington, KY, and attended Sayre School. Upon graduation, she continued her studies at Vanderbilt University, pursuing a career in healthcare. Her interest in art and science, combined with her desire to have a positive impact on the lives of her patients, led her to dentistry.
She graduated from Vanderbilt in 2012 with a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minors in Medicine, Health, and Society and Spanish. Back in her hometown, she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May 2016 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.
Dr. Foley has pursued multiple advanced continuing education courses. In the first years after dental school, she attended the Crown Council Hornbrook Smile Design course in Utah to focus on full mouth restorative and cosmetic cases, and the Airway Prosthodontics course at Spear Education in Arizona to better identify patients who may suffer from sleep apnea or other nighttime airway disorders. She also was a member of a local Spear Study Club with over thirty dental professionals and is certified in oral sedation and Invisalign.
Most recently, Dr. Foley has completed an extensive course on tongue and lip ties to treat infants, children, and adults who may struggle with one or many of the negative sequela caused by tethered oral tissues. Both Dr. Foley and Dr. Jacobson are trained in the use of a LightScalpel, the top-of-the-line laser equipment for the treatment of tongue ties, which greatly reduces post-operative pain and significantly increases the effectiveness of the treatment results.
Dr. Foley is constantly working toward new techniques to provide each patient with the highest quality care and a beautiful, confident smile.
