Administrative Team
Bethany- Front Office Reception
At the office, I work at the front desk coordinating patient care and I take pride in creating a welcoming environment to ensure a positive experience for every patient. Outside of work, my passion is showing my Walking Horses and trail riding mules with my boyfriend Shad. Most of my time is spent with him at our barn or visiting my family in Tennessee, where I’m originally from. Showing horses has ingrained the importance of dedication, perseverance, and attention to detail that has helped me in my position with RSD.
Mollie – Front Office Reception
Hi, I’m Mollie! I have been part of the Richmond Smile Design team for over three years, working in our front office. I always strive to make our patients feel welcome and have an enjoyable visit with us. As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, I have knowledge of both the clinical and administrative sides of dentistry to help our patients navigate their care. Outside the office I enjoy sewing and quilting while also spending time with my amazing husband and our families.
Registered Dental Hygienists
Courtney – RDH
Courtney was born and raised in central Illinois in the heart of farm country. She graduated from Parkland College in 2011 and moved to Kentucky in 2012 when she joined the practice. For more than a decade, Courtney has enjoyed building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Known for her gentle touch and compassionate approach, Courtney is passionate about creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient. She takes pride in helping patients overcome dental anxiety and educating them on the importance of oral health.
Outside the office, Courtney’s life is centered on faith and family. She married her high school sweetheart and is a mom of two. Their family enjoys making memories through travel and outdoor adventures. Whether she’s camping, hiking, scuba diving, kayaking, or exploring a new destination, Courtney loves spending time outside and embracing every opportunity for adventure. Her faith guides both her personal life and her approach to caring for others, and she feels blessed to serve the community she now calls home.
Louise- Dental Hygienist
Louise has been a dedicated dental hygienist for several years, and at RSD she fills the roles of Dental Hygienist as well as Expanded Duties Dental Assistant! Louise’s professionalism and focus on high-quality dental care are evident in every procedure and patient interaction throughout the day. We are so grateful to have her as part of our team!
Shawna – RDH
First, I’m a mother to three great kids and a wife to one lucky guy! Second, I have now been a dental hygienist longer than I haven’t! I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University and I love what I do. I enjoy helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy, happy smile. When not at work, you can find me shopping, spending time outside, walking our Golden Retriever, at the soccer field, or hanging out with friends and family.
Emily – RDH
Emily graduated in May 2025 and is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered dental care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from EKU and enjoys being involved with the Kentucky Dental Hygienists’ Association through volunteering and professional service. She enjoys spending time outdoors and is a second generation dental hygienist.
Expanded Duty Dental Assistants
Megan Smith – EDDA
Megan is an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) with certification in dental sedation. Megan is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Megan enjoys helping patients feel at ease throughout their dental experience while supporting efficient, compassionate treatment. Her passion for dentistry comes from the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients’ oral health and confidence. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help patients achieve the smiles they’ve always wanted while working alongside a supportive, fun team. Outside the office, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature through hiking and kayaking, and visiting local coffee shops.
Kayla – EDDA
Kayla is a proud Eastern Kentucky native, born and raised in Louisa, KY. Her love for family and passion for dentistry brought her to Richmond in 2012. Kayla earned her Associate of Science degree from Bluegrass Community and Technical College in 2012 and graduated from the Institute of Dental Technology in Lexington in 2014. With over 10 years of experience in the dental field, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Outside the office, Kayla enjoys homesteading and spending time with her two boys. Whether she’s baking fresh bread or caring for her chickens, she brings the same care and dedication to her hobbies that she does to her work. Patients can always count on Kayla to create a welcoming, comfortable experience in the dental chair.
