Dr. Foley at Smile Design was recommended to me by another practice to treat my son’s lip tie, and I can see why! The office is clean and comfortable, the staff was fantastic and professional. Dr. Foley was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. She explained the entire procedure and aftercare thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable before proceeding. Couldn’t have had a better experience I would definitely recommend this practice!

As a first time mom, I was especially nervous to have my son’s dental surgery done by “just anyone”. When our wonderful pediatrician referred us to Richmond Smile Design and I saw the glowing reviews they had received from hundreds of previous patients, we felt comfortable at least seeking a consultation from the office. As soon as arriving in the office, we felt welcome in the space- it was very clean and the employees were friendly. It was discussed that my insurance did not cover the procedure we were seeking for our son, so cost was also disclosed upfront, which in my experience is not common-practice in most medical offices. The surgery we were seeing for our son is not a “medically necessary” procedure but instead one that would simply make our son’s life easier, so you do often hear horror stories of people being taken advantage of since the necessity of the procedure is primarily a matter-of-opinion, but at no point did we feel as if Dr. Foley was willing to put my son through an unnecessary surgery just to “make a buck”. Also, Dr. Foley’s staff rocking our son back to sleep by the time we re-entered the room post-op was just furtherance that patient well-being is important to their office. We were more than comfortable having the procedure completed on the day of the consultation because of the comfort we felt within the office and with Dr. Foley and her staff. Aftercare was thoroughly explained, even to the extent of including videos and a physical display of the proper stretches to be completed on my son so that he does not have to repeat care. We have had a great experience thus far with Richmond Smile Design, intend to continue entrusting them with our son, and my also transfer our own care to the office as well.

I was relaxed and stayed that way during the entire procedure. Today I have no pain, no swelling, and just a little soreness. I feel fine and have no need for Tylenol. I am working today with no discomfort. Dr Jacobson was so nice and makes one feel comfortable and informed during the procedure. The office staff was professional and friendly. I give this office a five star review.

For a scaredy-cat like me this dentist office is the best. Courtney the dental hygienist is one of the best people I’ve ever met and to know that she will help me through the whole visit to make sure I’m comfortable is a blessing. You also can’t beat the two ladies in the main office Maria Rosa and Sharon they are so sweet and kind and will do whatever they can to help you.

I’m happy I’ve finally found a dentist in Richmond! I had a great experience getting a cavity filled. I called as a new patient this morning and MariaRosa spent almost an hour making sure my insurance would cover my visit. I felt like I had known her my whole life. They squeezed me in same day with Dr. Foley and she is just as wonderful as everyone says Dr. Ballou is. His practice is truly in good hands. Dr. Foley is very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. It was great to meet all of the staff. I’ve never laughed so much at the dentist!

Dr. Foley is fantastic and every bit as good as Dr. Ballou said she was! My 5 star review definitely remains unchanged. I would give 100 stars if that was an option. Every single appointment has been incredible-I keep waiting on one to disappoint and it just hasn’t happened. As someone who has had more than my fair share of dentist appointments I only wish I had found this office sooner!

Dr. Foley was very knowledgeable and took lots of time to explain my options. It was clear that she wanted what was best for me. She gave me several options that would fit with my budget. She did not try to sell me a high-priced option only. For one tooth, she said we should just wait and she will check it next time. I like that type of conservative approach. I scheduled dental work over the next year so that I can space out the cost over time. I am telling all my friends to see Dr. Foley.

This has to be the best dental office in the state of Kentucky. The nicest people, newest technology, and thorough approach. I’ve never met more knowledgeable yet down to earth people.
